  Why Punta Cana ?

Indeed, when there are so many delicious islands in the Caribbean on which to enjoy your precious sun and ceach vacation. Because Bavaro Beach is the longest, widest, cleanest beach anywhere. And the Resorts are the créme- de- la- créme pleasure palaces of which dreams are made.

As a travel facilitator for over 25 years in Canada, I have been to most of the established and renowned hotels throughout the islands, many I adored but they have a check-in price of double of a 4-5 Star resort in Punta Cana. So I keep coming back to Punta Cana, which I have seen develop from only 1 major resort, the Club Med, (and if any hotelier knows his location, it is Club Med) to over 30 first class Resorts. Unlike other tourist area's in the Caribbean, these Resorts are not dumped right next to each other, but spread over 25-30 miles of gorgeous coastline, so the beach in front of your Resort is not crowded with people from other properties or mass market high-rises across the road !
Punta Cana is secluded, clean and well developed by large hotels with lots of experience in running a first class house.
Who goes to Punta Cana ...?
The reality is that Punta Cana resorts draws a variety of people, but unlike other resort areas in the Caribbean, it is a mix of professional young couples, families and mature adults from south and Central America, Europe. North Americans are generally in the minority. There are certain Resorts that seem to attract more of one nationality, than others. This is an attraction to some and may deter others who can not handle not being understood immediately and only want to socialize with their peers. Families with children age five to fifteen should realize this and select the larger resorts over 500 rooms (the bigger the more activities available). Punta Cana has visitor arrivals year round, fewer North Americans in summer, but more South Americans. The reverse in winter. Europeans year round. For that reason there are few, and not so drastic price reductions in the off season, as you see in other destinations.
